Link: museum.ipsj.or.jp

In October 1992, NEC started selling three new personal word processor models. The new models were loaded with numerous printing functions, making it easy and affordable to create business cards with portraits, pictures for coloring, and other printed materials. The new high-end models were intended to bolster NEC’s word processor lineup. The mini 5SH offered color printing, the mini 5SV had faster printing speeds, and the mini 5Sj came in a notebook size.

Two other models — the mini 7SV laptop word processor for full-fledged business applications and the mini 7SR with a CRT monitor — were rolled out at the same time.

MFB 522 Drumcomputer [Version 1.0] analog drum machine, 2009, made in Germany

Link: soundonsound

Available edit controls:

  • Bass drum [Decay, Tune, Tone, Level] The bass drum can be programmed in two different lengths per pattern. It also offers and individual output.
  • Snare drum [Noise, Tone, Level] – Rimshot [Level] Snare drum and rimshot cannot be played simultaneously. However, they can be used in the same pattern. Both instruments share the same individual output.
  • Clap [Attack, Filter, Decay, Level] The parameters allow setting the width and fullness of the clap sound. This sound also has its proprietary individual output.
  • Tom/Conga [Tune, Decay, Level] This sound source can be switched between Tom and Conga instruments. Sounds programming allows setting of three different pitches.
  • Cowbell [Tune, Decay, Level] – Clave [Level] Tune for Cowbell controls a detune-effect, while the pitch is set commonly with Cymbal and Hihat. Cowbell and Clave cannot be played simultaneously. However, they can be used in the same pattern.
  • Cymbal [Tone, Decay, Level] Tune sets the pitch for Cymbal, Cowbell and Hihat
  • Open/Closed Hihat [Decay, Level] Open and Closed Hihat cannot be played simultaneously. However, they can be used in the same pattern. This sound source offers and individual output.

The step-sequencer allows programming of 72 basic patterns plus 72 fill-ins. The latter being associated to the basic pattern memory location, resulting in a two-bar-pattern when using the fill-in. Patterns can be combined to eight songs that each hold a user-definable sequence of up to 64 patterns. In addition to the instruments, a global accent-track is available. When set, the corresponding step will be played with a higher or lower volume-setting in comparison to the standard level. The MFB-522’s sequencer offers three different steps of shuffling. A stereo output will carry all instruments minus those where individual outputs are in use (bass drum, snare drum/rimshot, claps and Hihat). Using the MIDI-In, drum-sounds can be played with a keyboard or external sequencer. Here, the sound sources act velocity sensitive. Finally, MFB-522 can be synchronized to incoming MIDI-clock.

The MFB-522’s dimensions are: 175 x 125 x 38/72 mm. The unit ships with a 12 volts power-supply

Elita Kvazichor should mean something like \"elite multi chorus\". The production date is 1992. It requires 15V and comes with adapter. The controls are :frequency, depth, delay and brightness. It has two outputs, out of phase with each other. Pedal made in 1993 at Estradin military radioplant in USSR where was manufactured well-known moog type synths - Altair 231, Estradin 230, Solaris 314 etc.

4 control knobs include: rate, depth, delay, brightnessLike most Soviet analog gear this pedal produce different sound from well-known guitar pedal brands.

Power supply 220V 50Hz + 15V 70mA.

Yerasov 5000-Volt Modern Distortion, made in Russia

Link: Review

RITM-2 | РИТМ-2 Analog One-Voice Soviet Synthesizer [Gold Face, serial #5100] [Restoration & Repair], June 1988, made in USSR

Link: ruskeys

Description

This synthesizer was manufactured by Kirovsky musical instruments' factory in 1984, designer - Viktor Nikulin. The EMI Ritm 2 is an one-voice keyboard synthesizer designed for solo, ensembles and orchestral playing musical compositions of any genre. It can be used both for educational needs and creating different musical effects. This synthesizer can be used with an acoustic amplifier which has a response of 0,775. There is a possibility to use a low frequency amplifier such as radio receiver, TV and tape recorder. The quality of the sounding depends on an acoustic amplifier.

The synthesizer Ritm-2 can play soundings of the other classical instruments (keyboard, strings, reed and percussion instruments). It is intended for creating some specific sounds (wind, noise of surf, train, gun and whine). Using this instrument one can play some compositins with a random pitch and a timbre.

Control parametrs name: pitch wheel, modulation slider, modulation frequency, registers (4'8'16'32'), tuning modulation on, modulation amount, modulation waveform, noise, square waveform level, select waveform, wave level, cutoff, key track (1/1-1/2), resonance, modulation form/depth, phone, contour osc, output, memory, filter - attack, decay, sustain, release.
