VERSATILE AND CONVENIENT USE
13 channels of input signals from MIC 1-6, PHONO, CD, DECK, TUNER, AUX, CHIME, MIXER are provided and mixed for versatile and convenient use.

MUTING FOR PRIORITY
Signal from Mic 1, 2, Chime, Mixer automatically activate the muting circuit which temporarily mutes the signals from other input channels. You needn’t to reduce volume of other input signals when you make an emergency call or announcement by Mic 1, 2, Chime and Mixer.

HIGH PERFORMANCE CIRCUIT
This pre amplifier employs the high performance circuit, and performs better than 65dB of S/N ratio and less than 0.1% of THD.

USE OF EMERGENCY BATTERY
You can operate this pre amplifier by using of emergency battery for unexpected AC power failure.

INPUT SIGNAL INDICATING LED
This LED of volume control knob indicates input signal source

TRANSFORMER BALANCED CIRCUIT(OPTION) Microphone input 6 channel and line output circuits are designed with electronic balanced circuit which can use mic or line matching transformer optionally.

The speaker system which changed the model of a tweeter based on AR-4 which was put on the market in 1965 and called explosive popularity. 

A 6cm corn type unit is adopted as a 20cm corn type Woofer and a high region low-pass. 

The acoustic suspension system is adopted as the enclosure. 
This system was a system by Mr. Edgar Villchur's invention, and it was developed in order to remove the fault of the speaker till then with which harmonic distortion increases especially in low-pitched sound. 
By this system, the box without corn paper with high intensity, an air leak, and resonance by which full sealing was carried out is used, the parasitism vibration at the time of a low-pitched sound play is braked, and distortion is suppressed. 

Finishing of the exterior serves as oil finish of the walnut.

"F.8.'' PROCESS CONE PAPER
The cone paper of the speakers in the Model CS-88A is made with the new "F.B." process, in which pulp and wool fibers are combined. The result is a paper that is more rigid and lightweight. It also provides improved higher frequency characteristics, better transient response and reduced distortion.

BRILLIANT, DYNAMIC HIGH-FIDELITY REPRODUCTION
The CS-88A delivers rich, distortion-free music over a wide dynamic range, from full bass on up to sparkling, silky highs. It is a 4-way system with one 12" woofer, two 5" mid-range speakers, two 3" tweeters and one multicellular horn tweeter for very high frequencies.

EFFICIENT. DIVIDING NETWORKDESIGN
The design of the dividing network is extremely important in speaker systerns. In the CS-88A special consideration has been given to this network. Wound on a ferrite core is a high-Q inductance coil, for better transient response. The crossover frequency is lower for clean bass and mid-range tone.

SOPHISTICATED CABINET DESIGN
The CS-88A is an attractive piece of furniture as well, with its lattice grille and polished walnut. Its convenient dimen- sions allow it to be placed either on the floor or on a bookshelf, and it operates either vertically or horizontally. Removal of the grille is simplicity itself.
