B&O Bang & Olufsen Beovox S75 Type: 6313 , 1977-1980, made in Denmark

Manufactured: 1977 - 1980
Designer: Jacob Jensen
Colours: Rosewood, Teak

The S75 was a four way speaker designed for stand mounting and was a suitable match for any of the receivers offered at the time. It could be regarded as the bigger brother of the fabled S45.2 and replaced the very similar S60 in the speaker range.

The cross over was changed along with a redesign of the cabinet. The result was a speaker with more bass emphasis than the S60 but still with a soaring top end. Criticism could be levelled that the bass was at times slightly overblown, but for rock music, it hit the spot.

The extra size also emphasised the cabinet makers' skill with the rosewood model in particular often showing a wonderful selection of flame veneer.

Although these speakers lack the accuracy of the S45.2, many will find the extra bass an attraction and will choose these in front of their fabled brother.

Beovox Uni-Phase S75

Pressure chamber speaker with linear phase sound reproduction and wide frequency range: 36 - 20000 Hz. Was suitable for placement in a shelving system but also available with aluminium pedestal for those who prefer a free-standing model. Speaker units included a 25cm woofer, a special 12,5cm Phase Link unit, a 5cm mid-range dome and a 2,5 dome tweeter. Volume was 40 litres; weight 11kg.

The largest of the S type Uniphase speakers, and a development of Beovox S 60. In common with the rest of the Uniphase range, Beovox S 75 had an angled resin front and a fine wooden cabinet. The rear panel was vinyl covered chipboard and a high quality wooden carcass. The removable grille was plastic in construction with pegs to fit in holes on the resin front and cut outs for the drive units. It was covered in black cloth. The speakers were identical with the drive units not being mirrored. Two dome units were fitted at the top of the speaker, the smaller being a 2.5cm and the second a 5cm unit fitted in its own cylindrical tube. The phase link unit was again fitted with its own cylinder in a similar way to Beovox S 45-2. On this occasion, the phase link unit was a 12.5cm unit. The woofer was interesting as instead of the normal Peerless unit, a high quality SEAS unit was present. Connection was made by the usual recessed 2 pin DIN plug on the rear. An optional stand was available and preferable as with a frequency response down to 36HZ shelf mounting could lead to an over emphasised bass. The S 75 had the later square stands.

Beovox S 75 was designed to be used with any of the Beomasters made at this time, and in particular Beomaster 4400 with its 75W output, this being the main reason for the replacement of the very similar Beovox S 60. Beovox S 75 was replaced by Beovox S 120 in the revised Uniphase range.

Videoton EA 6383 S Stereo Amplifier, 1983-1985, made in Hungary

- >  When you touch your buttons, an electronics mutes the inputs of the power amplifiers, so there is no noise when you switch to the speakers!!! The mute function often remains ineffective due to the oxidized spring contact string built into the buttons. This also applies to the mains switch!!! < -

Features

Hi-Fi stereo amplifier with 8Ω output. Semiconductors: 3 ICs, 36 transistors and 21 diodes. Tuner, two magnets and a magnetic turntable can be connected to it. There is a headphone jack on the front panel. Balan, high and bass control and volume potentiometer are located on the front panel. The push buttons can be used to adjust physiological volume, mono-stereo switch, high and low-cut filter. Below the input selector buttons. The display is a two-line VFD panel. Next to it is the "Mute" button, which reduces this volume by 10 dB.
Frequency response: 10 to 40,000 Hz. Bandwidth: 20 to 20,000 Hz. Signal to Noise: From tape and tuner inputs: ≥58 dB; turntable input: ≥50 dB. Harmonic distortion: 0.06%. Intermodulation distortion: 0.2%. Transduction attenuation: 1kHz for tuner and tuner inputs: ≥50 dB; turntable input: ≥40 dB. 10 kHz for tuner and tuner inputs: 40 dB; turntable input: 30 dB. Output power: sinusoidal: 2x30 W; music: 2x50 W. Power consumption: max. 160 W.

Other

Donor: Tibor Schroder.
Videoton's second generation (RT-402) high-fidelity Hi-Fi tower amplifier. Additional features of the tower include Videoton RT 6303 S tuner, Akai AP-Q310 / C turntable, Akai CS-F210 tape recorder, VT DC 2550 speaker and SA7 stand.
Its predecessor is the VT EA 6380 S, which has changed a lot. Interestingly, when you touch the buttons, the electronics mute the amplifier so there is no noise or bump on the loudspeakers when switching on. Its amplifier includes BD809-BD810 high-purity transistors, but the same can be said of the other semiconductors used in the final phase. Despite its active use, the last bolt is in its original, flawless and scratch-free state, making this amplifier even more special.

Amplivox Portable Sound Systems S122 Roving Rostrum Compact PA System [Tabletop Lectern], 1960s, made in USA

Link: S122A | Circuit Schematic | reverb

This is a 1960s Ampli-Vox Roving Rostrum portable PA system. It is basically an all-in-one analog PA system in a box.

It includes two speakers built into the housing, a mic gooseneck, volume control, line and aux. inputs, and 12V operation.

Microphone Astatic 335L hi-Z not included.

This unit is designed to work with D batteries. (A 12V power supply like a car/tractor/boat battery would also work in a pinch. You'd need alligator clips for this, however.)

This amp gives a trippy lo-fi sound when under-powered (7V - 10V) and a nice, crisp sound when powered at spec, around 12V - 13V.

Features:

  • Desktop Podium Stereo Vox Amp
  • 2 eingebaute Lautsprecher, 50W total
  • 2 Klinkenbuchsen für externe Lautsprecher
  • Mikrofoneingang Klinke
  • Mikrofonhalter
  • Power On/Off Schalter
  • Cinch In/Out
  • Made by Chamerlain, Chicago, USA
На борту системы 2-а широкополосных динамика (есть подозрения что это Shure, ибо в Shure Vocal Master VA300-S speaker column штамповка очень похожа как и у Philips)
