B&O Bang & Olufsen Beovox S4500 type 6318, 1981-1983, made in Denmark [last modification of the legendary model S45-2]

The speaker BeoVox S4500 the Danish company Bang & Olufsen was the last change of the legendary model BeoVox S45-2 (Type 6318), who was previously a modification of the S45. The S4500 represents the best performance of development teams around the designer Jacob Jensen. The speaker S4500 is a closed 3-way system with high sound pressure in a so-called tray-type design (front panel vertically curved) which improves the sound radiation. Actually, the S4500 was intended as a bookshelf speaker, but it offers the best results freestanding on a stand in a corner with a distance of 40 cm from the walls.

These were a late derivation of the S45-2 and co-existed with the later Uniphase range for a year.
